Samsung Galaxy S3 64GB Is Not On The Company’s Radar Anymore

When the South Korean company introduced Samsung Galaxy S3 in May, the officials announced that a 64 GB model will hit the market soon after the smartphone’s debut.

Well, we haven’t heard a word about the 64 GB Samsung Galaxy S3 since, as the high-end model mysteriously vanished from the radar. It was rumored that the 64 GB variant was ditched out by the South Koreans, but let’s find out the truth behind the “cancellation.”

Regarding the large number of pre-orders posted for Samsung Galaxy S3 – reports show that over 10 million units were pre-ordered so far, a model with extra storage capacity would, of course, make the gadget enthusiasts even more interested in the Samsung flagship, so, in theory, less Galaxy S3 units will be sold because due to the 64 GB model cancellation.

Rumor has it that the main issue would be the costs involved by the new model, whether it’s about logistics, manufacturing a new stock of smartphones, different from the one including the 16 and 32 GB models, and the price of the extra flash memory, otherwise insignificant, since the drive is manufactured by Samsung.

Still, Samsung Galaxy S3 features a microSD card slot, that is capable of providing support for extra 64 GB of storage, so, in my opinion, a cancelled Samsung Galaxy S3 64 GB model won’t affect the smartphone’s sales. It’s more about ethics, as the South Korea-based company announced something and launched something else.

If you add all these to the rumors saying that the 64 GB Samsung Galaxy S3 model was cancelled, it’s obvious that the product is not part of Samsung’s plans anymore. Or maybe, they are keeping it for the launch of iPhone 5, when the 64 GB model will come at a cut off price, similar to the one of the 32 GB Galaxy S3.

I remind you that Samsung Galaxy S3 sports an Exynos 4 Quad chipset based on four ARM Cortex A9 cores clocked at 1.4 GHz and helped by a Mali 400MP GPU. The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-powered smartphone also comes with 1 GB of RAM, 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display and an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and full HD 1080p video recording support.

          Nokia Has A Surprise For September 7th

The teasers for the upcoming Nokia products are already starting to hit the web the squares. This one is most likely centered on a new Nokia Lumia smartphone with Windows Phone 8 on board.

We would only be amazed if it’s about a Nokia smartphone, with dual-core processor, HD display and running on Windows Phone 8, plus a PureView camera and, eventually, a reasonable price.

A second case scenario is related to the launch of a Nokia Windows 8 tablet, but the slate can’t be released until the official debut of the operating system, scheduled for October 26th.

The billboard was placed in front of a Nokia store in Helsinki and the news have rapidity made the headlines of the tech blogs.

 What you are seeing in the picture above is a billboard saying that “Something amazing is coming on September 7th.”

There’s also a QR code on the aforementioned billboard that redirects you a website called Graffiti Me, where you will be able to upload a photo and transform it into a grafitti.

 You should know that Nokia World 2012 event debuts on September and the smartphone might be launched at the Finland-based event.

 It isn’t relevant, is it? This first teaser also comes with a promise saying that Nokia will come up with more information in the weeks to come, talking about the products they are readying for us. What do you think the next “amazing” Nokia product will be?

Samsung Galaxy S3 was officially introduced a month ago at Samsung Unpacked event in London and it already hit more than 28 markets so far.


Previous rumors have indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S3 might hit the second largest US carrier on June 18th, but the guys at droidmatters have new details about the flagship’s availability.






 The Europeans were the first to get their hands on Samsung’s new flagship and new the US market is getting ready to receive the freshly-announced handset.


 One of their readers, who is an AT&T customer, sent in a photo from AT&T’s pre-order page that indicates that Galaxy S3 will be shipped “on or before” June 21st.


Therefore AT&T joins the list of carries that will launch the Samsung Galaxy S3 on June 21st, after T-Mobile and Sprint already announced that the dual-core smartphone will arrive on their shelves on the aforementioned date. On the other hand, US’ biggest carrier, Verizon will make Galaxy S3 available for purchase on July 9th.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 variant for the US market will bring the American customers reasons to cheer as it will sport 4G LTE connectivity and 2 GB of RAM.

 But the LTE support comes at an expense, as, in US, the Samsung flagship will come with a Qualcomm dual-core Snapdragon S4 chipset instead of the mighty quad-core Exynos 4 Quad processor.

Besides Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with impressive features like S-Voice (a rival for Apple’s Siri), S-Beam (high-speed file transfer via NFC and WiFi Direct), Burst Shot and Best Photo (takes 20 photos in burst mode, chooses the best one and deletes the rest), Smart Stay (using eye-tracking technology, the display won’t dim off as long you are looking at it), Pop up play (allows to user to watch a video in windowed mode on any homescreen) and many other such treats.

Except for the RAM and chipset, Samsung Galaxy S3 will have the same technical specs as the international model: 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 32 GB of internal storage and 50 GB of Dropbox free storage for two years, 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and full HD video recording capabilities, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and NFC chip.

          Sony To Launch A New Xperia Smartphone

I dont think will stop at any cost..... In this competition market sony is just far front of many others just different than others.....  first half of 2012 was pretty full for Sony, as the Japan-based company revealed a whole bunch of Xperia smartphones, from Xperia S and Xperia Ion to Xperia U and P....

It also followed by Xperia Sola, Xperia GX, Xperia SX and the freshly launched Xperia Acro S....

Sony already announced a few weeks ago they are preparing something special for June 22nd, but the date was changed.

 It seems that Sony won’t stop here, as the company posted a countdown timer on their Facebook page, indicating that a new Xperia smartphone will be announced on June 21st.

 If you decide to go on Sony Facebook page, click the Fast Forward button and you will be welcomed by a screen that says it will“bring the next Xperia smartphone closer to you.” It’s interesting how the teaser says that your click have brought the next Xperia smartphone announcement closer, thus maybe if a certain number of fans hit the like button Sony will unveil the smartphone sooner.

Sony might also unveil a music phone or a high-end cameraphone, but it’s wiser to wait until June 21st before rushing into conclusions.

A lot of rumors regarding the debut of a Sony Xperia smartphone code named Hayabusa have hit the web so far and rumor has it that it will be flagship of the Xperia line-up, way different than the other models, underpinned by a quad-core chipset.....

As about the alleged Xperia Play 2, Sony has to bring the simile back on their fans’ faces, after the Japanese company officially announced that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich firmware update won’t be available for Sony Xperia Play.

Latest upadte of Iphone 5 is of releasing date of it..... With Apple’s annual WWDC event currently undergoing at Moscone Center, San Francisco, the guys at BGR have took some time to gossip about the iPhone 5 release date....... 

This time the information provided by their “well-connected insider” saying that iPhone 5 release date was scheduled for early September is backed-up by the words of a KGI Securities analyst.

iOS 6.0 was unveiled today at WWDC 2012 and it seems that the Gold Maser release will debut synchronized with iPhone 5 in September. 

 We are talking about Mr. Ming-Chi Kuo who is famous about his accurate predictions regarding unannounced Apple product releases.

Min-Chi said that “based on the release schedule for iOS 6 GM, there is a very good chance iPhone 5 will start shipping also in early September.”

KGI Securities analyst also said that the next-gen Apple smartphone will sport a 4.08-inch display...... 

Today’s Apple WWDC 2012 keynote revealed that iOS 6.0 has received some serious improvements like Facebook integration, a new Maps application, a Do Not Disturb function and many other goodies.

It was reported that the next iPhone will pack a quad-core CPU, but if you asked me, I would call this since fiction. And this is not a lucky guess, it’s an educated opinion based on Apple product launches pattern.

Returning to iPhone 5, rumor has it that Steve Jobs himself worked shoulder to shoulder with Apple engineers at the design of this smartphone before his death: he wanted a device with a bigger display and more processing power.

The Cupertino-based company is usually placing the iPad chip inside their new iPhones. 

We’ve seen how the Snapdragon S4-powered One X variant managed to overscore its quad-core brother in benchmark tests.

Therefore, the iPhone 4 came with iPad’s single-core A4 chipset, iPhone 4S sports iPad 2′s dual-core A5 processor and it’s very likely that the iPhone 5 will feature new iPad’s A5X chip.

Anyway, other rumors have indicated that Samsung is working on a completely new dual-core chipset that will be placed under the unibody case of Apple’s smartphone.

Even though the quad-core smartphones like HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3 are making the headlines, a dual-core chipset fitted inside the iPhone 4S wouldn’t make it weaker. 

 Whether it will pack the A5X or the new mysterious CPU, I’m 100% sure that iPhone 5 will be Apple’s first smartphone to come with 4G LTE support. Will it be good enough to fight against Galaxy S3? We’ll see in the fall.

 Today we have a new pair of pictures to check out, showing what appears to be the RAZR HD as it will come to Verizon.

The Kevlar backing definitely evokes memories of the original Droid RAZR, but the design lacks that model’s prominent camera bulge. That may be due to the RAZR HD taking a cue from the RAZR Maxx and going with an extended-life battery; we had been wondering how the RAZR HD might address that issue, and if we’d see two versions of it, but perhaps there will only be the one high-capacity option.

It’s a shame we don’t get to see the phone’s HD display here, as the source who provided these images notes just how amazing it looks.

 VZW likes Thursday launches and both of these days are Thursdays. We had also seen Best Buy pre-orders from this morning that mentioned an expected arrival date for the GS3 of June 28, so this matches up nicely.....
