Beetel Teletech To Launch A 7" Tablet Next Month
This tablet will be running on Android 2.2 Froyo and will come with features such as 3G, Wi-Fi, cameras on the front and back and more. Rahul Mahajan, the Head of Beetel Teletech gave out this info while speaking to press persons. However, information regarding the pricing of the tablet remains scarce since he preferred not to disclose that information. He did mention that the tablets will be priced competitively. It is very crucial that the tablet is priced economically since it doesn't have a lot of features to brag about.
The company also mentioned its plans to roll out four new handsets over the course of this year including a bunch of Android handsets. Mahajan said, "We will build a strong distribution network. The company will launch four more models, including high-end, touchscreen and Android-enabled handsets, by September".
Beetel Teletech's GD 218 and GD 310 are entry-level feature phones with dual SIM standby and a couple of other useful features such as LED torch, FM Radio, etc. These handsets will be priced at Rs. 1,499 and 1,799 respectively. The company aims to launch at least two new handsets every month. Beetel Teletech wants to go big in the Indian entry-level and mid-range handset market by 2013. With the entry-level cellphone market crowded with brands suchMicromax, Maxx, Videocon, and a bunch of others, Beetel Teletech will really have a tough task pleasing the customers.
