FIRST HD SMARTPHONE | LG ANNOUNCES OPTIMUS

There's been no real shortage of leaks concerning the LG Optimus LTE. We've seen the phone pictured in the wild several times and now the manufacturer has officially announced the phone.

Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Optimus LTE packs a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, 4.5-inch "IPS true HD" display with 720 x 1280 resolution, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of Internal Storage, microSD card slot with 16GB card bundled, eight-megapixel main camera, 1.3-megapixel front facer, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, HDMI-out, WiFi direct and DLNA, all powered by an 1,830mAh battery.

The phone will be available on Korea's SK Telecom and LG U+ starting October 5 but we already wish LG will go international from day-one.
