GOOGLE ANOTHER PRODUCT | VIDEO INBOX | GOOGLE LATEST UPDATE | LATEST UPDATE OF GOOGLE | GOOGLE VIDEO INBOX

We’ve come across the latest in Slide’s series of projects developed within Google, VideoInbox – a combination daily newsletter/Facebook app that basically centers around the viewing, sharing and cataloguing of viral videos (proof that it’s from Slide here). Sign up for VideoInbox with Facebook Connect and you’ll get a daily email with “hand selected” viral YouTube videos like “Slow Loris With a Tiny Umbrella,” ”Rubik’s Cube Robot Is Smarter Than You” or “Bollywood Pizza Hut”.

Again exhibiting the autonomy we’ve now come to expect from the Google-owned Slide, the app uses, amazingly enough, the Facebook API to allow you to share videos with individual friends on Facebook or post them to your Facebook Wall.  While the button is there its Twitter OAuth aspect seems to be not yet implemented. The app also allows you to watch the top 5 viral videos from yesterday, as well as “Favorite” videos for watching later

While VideoInbox is still very “work in progress,” despite its rough design, it’s kind of delightful. I mean I am so lucky to have had the experience of “Accidental Convertible” added to my life, and yes, I just shared it with a Facebook friend that I thought might like it.
Slide has been super productive since Google acquired it for $182 million back in August, coming out with a series of iOS apps including Photovine, Pool Party and group messaging app Disco in recent months. Prizes.org, a Slide-backed platform which allows you to create contests for money, like Video Inbox, heavily implements Facebook Connect.
However it’s still unclear how Slide’s churn of products is contributing to Google’s overall ambitions and strategy. Also: Why aren’t they formally pitching the tech press with this stuff?Honestly, some of it is actually pretty cool. And it’s getting to the point where it hard to keep track of them all.

Logitech Cooling Pad | Logitech Cooling Pad N200 | New latest pad | Latest cooling pad

Cools like a ninja - only more comfortably.

Lightweight; Comfortable padding with breathable fabric; Good cable management; Speed adjustable fan; Silent operation

Single-fan design; Plastics feel cheap; Flimsy bottom vents

INTRODUCTION AND DESIGN:

Logitech Cooling Pad N200
MRP: Rs 1595

Anyone who's used a laptop for more than 10 minutes at a stretch will agree that it's a gross misnomer. You can't use one on your lap to play a game of solitaire without risking a Kapura Fry. However, it's not just your family jewels at stake. Place the laptop on your bed, and the pliant surface suffocates the vents, which in turn puts your expensive hardware under potentially catastrophic thermal stress. Unless you intend to use your laptop as an expensive desktop replacement, it's wise to invest in a decent laptop cooler. That's why we called in Logitech's latest Cooling Pad N200 for review.

Design And Build Quality
Unlike its confounding cousins - the Cooling Pad N120 (Rs 1195) and Cooling Pad N100 (Rs 1545) - which exhibit identical features and specifications yet different prices, the N200 sports significant revisions; the most important being the inclusion of a padded base sporting a breathable mesh. This gives the cooler an edge over its plasticky counterparts. The N200 is a pleasure to use, thanks to its light weight and soft padding that prevents sweat even in humid climates.

ANDROID LATEST APPLICATION | LATEST ANDROID USE | LATEST INFORMATION ABOUT IOS DEVICES | LATEST NOKIA MAPS UPDATE | LATEST OVI SERVICE OF NOKIA

Now Access Nokia Maps From Android And iOS Devices

Nokia once used to be a dominant player in terms of cellphones in global markets. However, those days aren't upon the company going through a seemingly unrecoverable crisis today. After the company's announcement to tie up withMicrosoft to manufacture WP7 phones under its belt, things started to seem much better. That being said, the company is still incurring losses which isn't a good sign. However, if there is one thing that has been working for the Finnish mobile maker, it has to be the it's Maps Service.

Nokia Maps has considerably raised the stakes and it's quite hard to match the standards set by Nokia in that regard. Now, Nokia is spreading the Maps service across top mobile platforms with the company announcing the compatibility of Nokia Maps on the iOS and Android platform with location support on both platforms. To access the Nokia Maps service, users of the above two mobile platforms will have to head over to the default HTML5 enabled browsers and type maps.nokia.com in the address bar and access the service. Though, the HTML5 version launched in April is currently in Beta, do not expect anything less from Nokia Maps.

FLY CARS | LATEST TECHNOLOGY

Britons may soon fly cars!

London, July 18 (IANS) A flying car which usually finds its mention in children books or animated cartoon movies, may soon become a reality in Britain.
Aviation experts are saying a flying car could be in regular use in Britain within five years after a model was formally approved by US authorities, Daily Mail reported Monday.
The $250,000 Terrafugia Transition is a two-seater aircraft, which has a top speed of 115 mph, a range of 500 miles on a tank of fuel and requires just 20 hours training to fly.
The car, at the touch of a button, takes just 15 seconds for its wings to fold up automatically and the power to be re-routed from the propeller to the rear wheels.
It can then be driven at up to 65 mph and will comfortably fit in a standard size garage.
'It's like a little Transformer,' said Terrafugia founder Carl Dietrich, referring to the children's toys that were turned into a blockbuster movie franchise.
Although aimed primarily at buyers in the US where there are plenty of airstrips and 600 'fly-in' communities - Boeing 707 owner John Travolta being the best-known fan - more than 20 Britons have already declared an interest in the carbon-fibre vehicle.

APPLE MAC MINI | Apple Mac Mini (2.5GHz Core i5, Summer 2011)

The good: The new Mac Mini boasts Apple's usual design leadership, as well as new internal components that nearly double its performance compared with that of the older model.
The bad: Some users will find the lack of an optical drive too forward-looking, and may struggle to understand the benefits of the Thunderbolt port. The new Mac Mini also offers suspect value compared with Windows PCs in the same price range.
The bottom line: Apple's new $799 Mac Mini demands that you abandon disc-based media, and that you surround it with potentially expensive extra hardware to realize its full benefits. It makes most sense for committed Mac users, those who need it for a specific niche-case, or for those who value design over functionality for the dollar.
Review:
Apple's new Mac Mini features some welcome updates and a controversial omission, but overall it remains in the same competitive middle ground as its earlier incarnations. No other system in its price range comes close to the Mac Mini's pleasing, compact design, and this $799 model brings some welcome performance improvements, along with the still-developing potential of its Thunderbolt port. Competing slim-tower PCs from the Windows side of the aisle offer more features for the same price, among them optical drives, which Apple has left off its new small form factor desktop. That decision makes the Mac Mini ... Expand full review

"Worthless until Lion issues are fixed."on  by Nena1510 (1 review)

Pros: Improved graphics, selectable processor upgrades, some of the features of Lion sound useful (Autosave and Verisions).
Cons: Ships only with the new operating system, Lion and downgrading to Snow Leopard is not recommended. Lion does not support Java natively (it must be downloaded as an add on and does not work with all plugins). I don't have enough time or energy to list al
Summary: I had been greatly anticipating the release of the new Mac mini. I have an older model that is just a bit limited due to processor speed and graphics. However, this little machine can be used for more than an entertainment device. I use mine for data analysis (OS X ... Expand full review

"For HTPC useres, stick with the prev. generation"on  by cublynx (1 review)

Pros: Sound via HDMI, improved graphics, better CPU/Chipset, SD Slot
Cons: For HTPC users, the missing DVD drive is a deal breaker. Sure you can get an external one, but that kind of ruins the simplicity of a small unit meant for theater use. SD Slot in rear, should be in the front for ease of use, regardless of your Mini'
