APPLE IPHONE 5 WITH 8 MEGAPIXEL CAMERA | LATEST IPHONE 5 | IPHONE WITH 8 MP CAMERA | 8 MEGAPIXEL CAMERA IPHONE | IPHONE WITH DUAL LED FLASH | IPHONE OF 8 MP CAMERA DUAL LED FLASH

A day hardly goes by without see an iPhone 5 rumor and today doesn’t make an exception as sources in Taiwan claim that there are 3 companies in the country who are potential part suppliers for Apple’s next-gen smartphone. The rumor mill says that the iPhone 5 will come packed with a camera that will feature dual LED flash and that Edison Opto, Everlight Electronics, and Lite-On Technology are the potential suppliers.
Currently, Apple is using the Philips Lumileds LEDs for the iPhone 4 camera and there have been numerous reports that the company has decreased the demand for these parts which could mean two things: iPhone 4 sales are decreasing or Cupertino will opt for other parts from other suppliers like the aforementioned ones.
However, when Apple posted the latest quarterly earnings, we’ve noticed that iPhone 4 sales have increased which is unusual for this time of the year therefore we’re only left with one thing: the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S will feature a 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash.
The favorite for becoming Apple’s main supplier for the dual-LED flashes is Edison Opto who is already working with premium brands as it has been in the business for more than 10 years. Everlight Electronics and Lite-On Technology are also established companies, but they’ve only become popular among device vendors in recent years so Apple is looking for the more “experienced teacher.”
The iPhone 5 release date is September 2011 during Apple’s annual iPod Event as the company has missed the deadline at the usual WWDC 2011 event. It is rumored that the iPhone 5 will be powered by a dual-core Apple A5 processor and that it will have a 4-inch touchscreen in order to compete against the likes of the latest Samsung and HTC mobile phones.
