HP Roadmap Leaked: TouchPad 4G And 64GB, Pre 3, Opal, And More Devices Coming Soon

It seems that HP TouchPad, the first tablet running on webOS will have the same faith as BlackBerry Playbook, as it received some negative reviews from the media.
Anyway this doesn’t mean that the $500 tablet (16GB) is lame or doesn’t have what it takes to make it attractive in the business segment, but how about the other users? What makes it different from iPad? Here we go!
First you will have to know that HP TouchPad features a 9.7-inch display, with a resolution of 1024 x768 pixels, and many compared the tablet with Apple iPad, considering the similar design and dimensions. HP TouchPad uses a dual core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor and comes with the webOS features, among them the famous Synergi section for social networking, already a classic for a Palm Pre or Pixi owner.
The main advantage of this mode (and of webOS) is its unique multitasking, with those “Cards,” that makes the applications switching very easy. Another plus of HP’s table is the inductive wireless charging function, using a special dock.
Anyway a lot of tech journalists have complained about the Snapdragon CPU of HP TouchPad, as it’s too slow for a dual-core processor. But things are going to change soon, as HP prepares a new version of their TouchPad, which will be officially launched in August.
HP is rumored to developing a white version of their TouchPad. And the color is not the only change of the HP TouchPad scheduled to debut in August. Sources say that it will come with improved storage capacity, now of 64GB, and that will running on a more powerful CPU, dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon.
The American company also prepared 4G integration for the TouchPad that will be launched in August, but rumor has it that the 4G model will only be available with a black case and the same features like the 32GB HP Touch Pad.
HP also prepares some new products for the fall, so it seems that HP TouchPad will have a little brother then, coming with a 7-inch display and which is be codenamed Opal. HP Pre 3 is also rumored to be coming in fall, but it’s best to wait a little bit longer and see if HP makes it official.
