This past weekend we got a look at the first proper press shots of Sprint's upcoming Galaxy S2 device, the Epic 4G Touch. Alongside AT&T and T-Mobile's versions of the smartphone, the Epic 4GTouch is almost certainly going to be subject of tonight's Samsung event in New York City. Just ahead of that formal debut, the handset has already appeared on Samsung's Mobile Product Training website.
Sadly, we can't access the full training materials without an employee login, but what we can see does at least confirm the model's name with Sprint, contrary to what we heard earlier that the phone would be the Epic Touch 4G. We also learn that the E4GT will have a 4.52-inch SuperAMOLED+ display, a slight step up over the original SGS2.
If there are any other notable changes between the E4GT and the SGS2 as it's been released so far, they're not revealed here, but anything like that will presumably come to our attention as a result of this evening's event. We've still got some questions about the hardware, but this find has at least whetted our appetites. We've only got a few hours to go, but who know; maybe some info on the AT&T or T-Mobile SGS2 will also leak out in advance.
