Gizmodo Australia, whom are on the ball with Acer news, have reported that Acer have announced the official pricing of their upcoming launch (in Australia, anyway) of the Iconia Tab A100.
It will sell for $489 — $11 less than the first reported price, if you’re picky — for the 8GB version, which will be the only variant sold here, so don’t hold out for a 16GB Iconia Tab A100.
Going by what what we heard earlier in August, there will be two variants of the 8GB: Wi-Fi only and 3G. But if it’s a fixed price of $489, I’m hoping it’s for the 3G version, especially since Samsung have got their eyes set on getting back into the 7-inch tablet market with the newly announced Galaxy Tab 7.7. There’d be even more trouble for Acer if Lenovo plan on launching their sub-$200 Gingerbread tablet here. Hit the break for the specifications overview.
