HTC Explorer To Launch On September 29 In India?

Last week we posted the leaked press shots and specs of the HTC’s upcoming budget smartphone, the HTC Explorer. This handset was earlier known as the HTC Pico. According to the guys at BGR, HTC Explorer will be announced at an event in New Delhi on September 29. The global announcement will be made by the company’s newly appointed president of global sales and marketing, Jason Mackenzie.







HTC Explorer is expected to come with a 3.2 inch HVGA display, sporting a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, 600 MHz processor, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, HTC Sense 3.5 UI, Wi-Fi 801.11 b/g/n, 3G Connectivity, 5 mega pixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 384 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, microSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 1230 mAh battery.
HTC Explorer a mid-range smartphone, which is specially targeted at budget-minded customers. The price of this device is expected to be around Rs.15000 ($300). This handset will compete with other budget Android phones such as HTC Wildfire S, Samsung Galaxy Ace and Motorola Defy in the Indian market. Are you planning to buy this device?
