SAMSUNG ANNOUNCES SAMSUNG GALAXY II HD LTE FOR SOUTH KOREA

features 4.65-inch 1280×720 (316ppi) display

Update: We’ve received more information straight from Samsung regarding the Galaxy S II HD LTE. It will be powered by a 1.5GHz Dual-Core CPU; the chassis will be 9.5mm thin; NFC will be built in. The viewing angle of the screen will be 180 degrees.
So we thought the Nexus Prime would be the first device from Samsung to feature their 1280×720 Super AMOLED display, turns out we’re all wrong. Samsung have just announced the Galaxy S II HD LTE for South Korea (damn!) which features, amongst other things, a 4.65-inch 1280×720 Super AMOLED display which pushes its PPI count to just under 316PPI — nice.
Along with the intense display are wireless connections for LTE, HSPA+ and CDMA Rev.A, which makes it an amazing global device. There’s also a larger 1850mAh battery to power the device. I can definitely see this being quite an attractive device to those whom import their devices via retailers, however, which the impending launch of the Nexus Prime just around the corner, is it really worth it?
