Anti hacking tips | anti hacking trick | hacking trick | protecting blog | protecting blog from hacking

If you have a blog then you need to know how to protect your blog from hacking. Not everyone is a computer guru. But it is a lot of basic common sense that is needed to do this effectively.

You may be doing these things already if you have a personal computer and an emailaccountThe first big step and the easiest is to keep your software and your computer current with their updates.
WordPress is the most popular these days. Make sure it udpated and do not advertise what version you are currently using. If your software is updated this step is not necessary. However, you may not get the latest update for whatever reason. If a hackerspots an older version, they may have a script to use against earlier vulnerabilities.
The next thing to help you protect your blog from hackers is to have strong passwords. Passwords that are not easily guessed and that contain numbers and uppercase letters are usually preferable. That means your child’s name or a variation of the word password is not advisable.

Another line of defense against a common attack that hackers use is a brute force attack. This attack is the hacker throwing as many attempts as they can to figure out your password and gain entry. The recommended defense for this is to regulate the amount of log in attempts per user and again, this is another reason for a strong password.
The typical amount of log in attempts is three. After three, the user is locked out until the administrator resets the account or a certain amount of time passes. The highest this threshold should be is five. If a hacker reaches your admin account, they have access to everything.
Understand and know what file permissions are. If they are set up incorrectly, you could be leaking sensitive areas and information to the wrong people. Know what is meant when the files are public and know what is meant when the files are private.
The files that need to remain private will do so if the file permissions are correctly configured.Make sure that you have a full understanding of what these are and how they should set up. These are easy steps that you can take to protect your blog from hacking.
