GOOGLE+ FOR ANDROID | LATEST UPDATE TO GOOGLE+

Google+ for Android Gets Post Resharing With Latest Update

If you're an early convert to Google+ and anAndroid user, you've no doubt already installed the service's native app. If you liked what you saw but felt that Google could really help the app out by adding in a few new features, you may want to check the Android Market for any pending updates, as there's a new version 1.0.6 of Google+ going out today with some pretty useful changes.

The big feature for 1.0.6 is the ability to reshare posts that others have made. Just choose a post, select reshare, choose who you want to see it, and add your own text – easy peasy. It's such a basic ability, we're surprised Google didn't take the time to include it earlier. There's no ETA, but apparently it will be coming soon to the iOS and mobile webversions of Google+.

Beyond resharing, the update adds support for additional languages, clarifies some options you configure while first setting-up the app, and should improve notification reliability. There are also a whole mess of otherwise unspecified bugfixes that should contribute to overall app stability.

Look for the new Google+ in the Android Market today.
