Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE Pictured Leaked

While smartphone fans in the US await today's Galaxy S2 news, Samsung is several steps ahead of everyone, already revealing an upgraded GS2 with LTE connectivity, a larger screen, and a speedier processor. We don't know of any plans for a US launch of the GS2 LTE just yet, but it's definitely on its way to our neighbors up north, with Rogers announcing plans to carry the smartphone. A couple images of the phone have also leaked out, giving us our first glimpse of it in the wild.

The Rogers version of the GS2 LTE will apparently take some liberties with phone's design, replacing the three-Android-button arrangement we saw in the initial reveal of the phone with four capacitive buttons.

Featuring a 1.5GHz dual-core chip, a step up from the non-LTE SGS2's 1.2GHz, we were expecting the phone to make its first appearance at the IFA in Berlin, but apparently Rogers was in a rush to start testing the model on its network, letting these pics slip out. While we aren't yet pricy to any specific date for when the GS2 LTE will hit the Canadian carrier, we know that it's starting a big LTE push in Toronto on September 28, and that the GS2 LTE will drop sometime this fall.
