Samsung SCH-i515 Droid Prime ICS Android Shows At Bluetooth SIG

Yesterday we heard a rumor that Verizon would be making up for its lack of a Samsung Galaxy S2 bycarrying an even more-hotly-anticipated smartphone, the Droid Prime, which would launch Android Ice Cream Sandwich. While details were sparse, we learned that the handset would likely be going by model number SCH-i515. That designation is already starting to pop up in the usual places we see a phone visit prior to its release, putting in an appearance with theBluetooth Special Interest Group.

The smartphone's Bluetooth 3.0 certification backs-up some of what we've heard so far, that this model is headed to North American and will be aCDMA device. There's no mention of the possibility of LTE; to be fair, that's not necessarily something that we would see in Bluetooth SIG stuff, and past Verizon LTE models have simply been marked as CDMA.

Another question we've been stewing over about this smartphone regards just what it will be called. Would it be the Droid Prime? Nexus Prime? Droid Nexus (Prime)? Bluetooth doesn't help there, but the latest rumor says it probably won't have "Droid" in the name at all. We're just going to have to keep waiting to narrow it down any more.
