Verizon has quietly put the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G up for pre-order at its online store three weeks later than it was supposed to be available for the consumers. The Big Red said that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G pre-orders would start on June 8th, but the tablet has been delayed numerous times and maybe you’ve noticed that it’s not shipping yet.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G release date is 4 to 6 weeks from now on and you will be asked to pay $530 for the 16GB version, while the 32GB unit is going to cost you $630 after you agree to a new 2-year contract. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 will become one of the first 4G LTE tablets along with the Motorola Xoom, however, these users are still waiting to get that firmware upgrade to enable 4G radio.
Samsung has been busy this year at the Mobile World Congress as it has revealed lots of devices including the Galaxy Tab 10.1. The tablet is powered by a dual-core 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 10.1-inch touchscreen at 1280 x 800 resolution, Android 3.1 Honeycomb, 1GB RAM, 16GB / 32GB built-in memory, 3G / 4G support, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3-megapixel camera on the back, 2-megapixel camera in the front, Adobe Flash Player support, full HD playback support, 1080p full HD output via HDMI out, and a 7,000mAh battery among others.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 doesn’t come with microSD card slot, but the I’m sure 32GB is more than enough for most of you. The downside is that you cannot take your apps from other devices via the microSD card on your Galaxy Tab 10.1. To the rescue comes the 4G LTE connectivity which will allow you to download appsin no time.
